“HEAR TO WIN”: Be a champion with the new gaming headsets from Sennheiser – developed with eSport team mTw
“Hear to win” is Sennheiser’s new slogan for their successful series of gaming headsets – tailored to the needs of professional gamers. To create headsets with the sound for winners, Sennheiser has had professional support by top players of one of the most successful eSport teams – mTw. The new headsets offer special features such as 7.1. surround sound, automatic microphone mute and an intuitive design of volume control.
Sennheiser’s close contacts to the gaming community have had an immense impact on the success of their headsets. “The slogan ‘Hear to win’ stands for the passion for the game and the desire to be successful. The cooperation with mTw gives us great insight into the gaming scene and an understanding of what professional gamers expect from their equipment. By sharing our passion and exchanging our knowledge, Sennheiser’s gaming headsets as well as their performance are permanently improved and close to perfection”, says Christian Ern Product Manager at Sennheiser Communications.
Cooperation with mTw to develop gaming headsets
Sennheiser has been supporting mTw, for more than two years. The sound expert and the professional gaming team have a close relationship and so it was only natural that Sennheiser involved gamers right from the beginning in the development process of their new gaming headsets. The aim was to improve the headsets in order to provide players with a crucial advantage against their competitors. The new headsets of Sennheiser are tailored to the needs of professional gamers. Lars Eiben, CEO of mTw, sums Sennheiser’s passion for gaming up: “Through our long-term relationship with Sennheiser we can say with certainty that they are always keen on improving their already sophisticated products. They are constantly setting higher standards for gaming headsets. From the close cooperation of Sennheiser and mTw every party benefits. I think I speak for all our players when I say that we are very happy to have such a high quality partner concerning sound – because it is the sound that often decides upon victory or defeat.”
mTw’s feedback on the new pro gaming headsets PC 360 and PC 330
With its excellent sound and the professional noise-canceling microphone the new PC 360 is just made for gamers needs. Its open design provides constant air supply with excellent hi-fi sound and natural audio reproduction – so gamers can keep a cool head even during lengthy gaming sessions.
“I am a pro at Quake® and need to practice a lot to remain one of Europe's top players” says Benjamin “calipt” Jakob. “That is why the PC 360 is the optimal training partner: Even when I wear it several hours a day it feels comfortable. And due to the light weight and open design, I hardly notice wearing a headset at all.”
The PC 330 also impresses with special features developed with gaming pros: With its closed design, it is ideally suited to large-scale LAN parties – it muffles ambient noise and enables total concentration on the game. “Being a Counter Strike® pro, I play at events all over the world and not everywhere is the background noise as muted as at home. Good hearing skills and working communication with my colleagues is immensely important for playing successfully. That is what the PC 330 provides: A noisecanceling microphone and closed acoustic design of earcups. I am honored that me and my colleagues’ feedback has been included in the development of this headset”, states Danny “zonic” Sørensen, one of mTw's pros.
What makes the PC 360 and PC 330 especially gamer-friendly too is their intuitive ease of use – you can mute the microphone easily by raising the boom arm; the sound volume can be adjusted directly via a control on the right ear cup. Both headsets have received a red dot design award.
One step ahead: Sennheiser’s new gaming headsets with 7.1 surround sound
The new PC 333D and PC 163D were also developed in close cooperation with the professional gamers of mTw and combine Sennheiser sound with Dolby® headphone technology. With their 7.1 surround sound games are turned into an extraordinary experience. The 360° acoustics provides gamers with crucial advantages: “With 7.1 surround sound you can precisely locate your in-game competitor in virtual space, even before you see him. Which means you’re always a step ahead of him”, explains Christoffer Munk “Sunde” Sunde of mTw. Both headsets feature a noise-canceling microphone, which guarantees crystal clear voice transmission even in loud surroundings.
The PC 360, PC 330, PC 333D & PC 163D are now available worldwide.
